Burr Purnell
Burr was raised on a farm in the backwoods for Maine with no running water or electricity in the early 1970s. Since earning his degree in design at Northeastern University, he has spent the past 25-years in the trenches of the creative side of advertising and marketing. Driven by a simple, enduring philosophy: create engaging ads that are rooted in strategy, informed by data and executed with flawless design. Today, Burr runs the non-profit efforts at VidMob. VidMob is a creative tech company that works with global brands (P&G, Adidas, Disney, etc.) to power digital campaigns with high-performance video. A portion of every dollar VidMob earns funds pro-bono creative services for non-profits that align to the 17 UNSDG’s. Ever the adventurer, in the nineties, Burr spent a year circumnavigating the North Atlantic Ocean on a 47' sailboat. In 2011, he began his ultra-running career where he competed in numerous races from 50K to 100-miles. More recently, in 2018, in search of the deeper meaning of life, he quit his job and traveled around the world with his wife and two teenage girls on a 282-day service trip. Burr co-owns and is an Executive Board Member of All Good Products, a triple-bottom-line body care company, he also sits on the Non-Executive Advisory Board of Yoga and Sport for Refugees
